- Provides support to students who are experiencing difficulties.
Service offers:
- support to students, and their families, who are at risk of failing school or who are experiencing difficulties at home
Includes:
- support at home, school, or in the community
- assisting teachers to co - ordinate services and work directly with families
- information and assistance in making referrals to community agencies
- outreach counselling services that focus on discussing concerns, identifying options, and seeking solutions with families
- culturally appropriate support for children with Aboriginal and Metis backgrounds
Affiliation: Partnered with Child and Family Services (CFS), Community Addictions and Mental Health, Family and Community Support Services (FCSS) of Red Deer and District, Red Deer Catholic Regional Schools, and Student Health Partnership.
