Description
Provides assistance to families who, because of their income, cannot obtain adequate accommodation at the current market rate.

Service provides:

  • affordable housing for individuals and families with low income
  • rent geared to 30 per cent of gross monthly income

Housing is allocated based on need according to government regulations. Priority is given to families with dependent children living in poor or overcrowded housing conditions or paying a high percentage of their income for rent.

Eligibility
Yes, Service targeted to:
  • 18 years and older
  • whose total annual income is below the Core Need Income Threshold (CNIT)
  • with assets are valued at or below $7,000.00
  • who are Canadian citizens, have landed immigrant status, or have residency equal to that required for Canadian citizenship
  • who are residents of Leduc County
