- volunteers who visit with people in need in their homes
Includes:
- supportive conversations to understand challenges and needs
- advocacy
- advice on practical matters, such as next steps for accessing government assistance and community resources
- material assistance (household items, furniture, dishes, bedding); Material assistance is dependent on donations received and may not always be available
Services available vary depending on location. Volunteers do not provide psychological counselling.
