Sends volunteers to visit with people in need in their homes to help with their basic needs.

Service provides:

  • volunteers who visit with people in need in their homes

Includes:

  • supportive conversations to understand challenges and needs
  • advocacy
  • advice on practical matters, such as next steps for accessing government assistance and community resources
  • material assistance (household items, furniture, dishes, bedding); Material assistance is dependent on donations received and may not always be available

Services available vary depending on location. Volunteers do not provide psychological counselling.
