Offers a 24 hour mobile assistance program for vulnerable Edmontontians.

Service offers:

  • a 24 hour mobile assistance program for vulnerable individuals who need immediate assistance

Includes:

  • assistance in crisis situations to minimize negative outcomes
  • supportive transportation for those facing multiple barriers
  • assertive support and referrals through warm handoffs to social service agencies

Aimed at reducing inappropriate referrals to emergency and police services.


Affiliation: Partnered with Boyle Street Community Services, Canadian Mental Health Association - Edmonton Region, 211 Alberta, and Hope Mission.

Eligibility
Yes, Service targeted to individuals who are:
  • likely to come to harm without some intervention
  • experiencing a mental health or non-emergency medical crisis
  • and / or intoxicated or otherwise impaired
Members of the public, businesses, community agencies, and those in need themselves can call for service.

  • call 2-1-1 and press 3 for triage and dispatch to the 24 / 7 Crisis Diversion Mobile Teams
  • call 9-1-1 in an emergency
