Conducts police information checks for employment, volunteering, immigration, custody / adoption, and more, as well as fingerprinting services.

Police Information Checks are all completed by members of the Edmonton Police Service.

Application Process
Service Access: Application Required, To access service:
  • apply online at the following link
  • or if you cannot apply online, submit an application form in person at the Police Information Check office
  • fingerprint services are available on a first come, first served basis for walk-in applicants at the Police Information Check office
  • visit website for more information including hours, fee amounts, payment options and address
On the spot processing service not offered at this time due to limitations on numbers inside the Police Information Check office and wait times. In-person applications will not be accepted at Divisional Stations. In-person application results will be mailed. Online application results will be e-mailed.

Results for applications made online results will be returned electronically by next business day for those that are clear (have no information to disclose). Results of applications made in person will be mailed within 7 to 10 business days.

Fee Reduction: Yes,

$15.00 for volunteers with registered non-profit and $50.00 for post-secondary students.
