Description
Provides mental health, emotional, and cultural support services to former Indian Residential School students and their families.

Service offers:

  • 24-hour toll-free crisis support line

The Resolution Health Support Program offers access to these services:

  • cultural support from Elders and traditional healers, including ceremonies, teachings, and dialogue
  • emotional support provided by local Indigenous organizations
  • counselling by registered professionals
  • transportation to support services

Key Provider: psychologists, social workers
Eligibility
Yes, Service targeted to:
  • former students of Indian Residential Schools and their families
Family members include:
  • spouse or partner
  • those raised by, or raised in the household of, an Indian Residential School Survivor
  • any relative who has experienced the effects of intergenerational trauma associated with a family member's time at an Indian Residential School
