COVID-19 UPDATE O8/24/2021: VOLUNTEERS ARE NOW ABLE TO TAKE THEIR SENIOR SHOPPING IN PERSON AGAIN IF BOTH VOLUNTEER AND SENIOR ARE COMFORTABLE DOING SO. VOLUNTEERS CAN ALSO DROP OFF GROCERIES AND ESSENTIAL ITEMS IF SENIOR IS UNABLE TO OR UNCOMFORTABLE GOING TO THE STORE. Provides assistance to seniors who have limited mobility, limited support and no means of transportation with shopping.

Service offers:

  • matching seniors with a volunteer who takes them shopping in their area for groceries and other needed items typically every 2 weeks (for 2 to 3 hours)
  • volunteer provided transportation
  • assistance shopping and putting away their items at home if needed
  • companionship and social connection

  • age 65 and older 
  • with limited transportation support
