Offers a long-term live-in treatment program for women actively using substances and wanting to stop.

Service provides:

a long-term live-in treatment program for women in Alberta actively using substances and wanting to stop

Residents receive:

access to a nurse and regular appointments with a physician
referrals related to personal and prenatal health
nutritious meals and snacks
individualized recovery and after care plans
practical life skills building
individual and / or group counselling
transition to community supports and services at the end of treatment
access to alternative therapies

Key Provider: addictions workers, case management workers, medical doctors, registered nurses, social workers

Eligibility

Yes, Service targeted to women who are:

15 years of age and older
pregnant or at risk of getting pregnant
actively using substances and wanting to stop
attending a detox program immediately prior to being admitted
residents of Alberta

Application Process

Applicants may be asked to attend a medical detox prior to admission to the program. Clients on methadone or suboxone are accepted on a case by case basis. The minimum stay is 42 days and can be extended based on needs of each client. Pregnant clients must discharge one month before due date.
