Description
Provides free programs for children, teens, and their families at public libraries.

Service offers:

  • age specific story time programs for children age 6 months to 5 years
  • summer reading programs
  • Reading Buddies program, where teen volunteers help readers in grade 1 to 3 who require support
  • Computer Buddies program, where teen volunteers help children in grades 1 to 6 explore computers
  • youth literacy programs, such as teen book clubs, writing programs, public speaking programs
  • English as a Second Language (ESL) Homework Help program and ESL Teen Talk
  • special programs including music, literacy, gaming, theatre, book clubs, public speaking, drawing and writing, computer literacy and parenting
