Provides treatment in diagnosis for oral lesions and temporomandibular disorders (TMD) / orofacial pain, and a multidisciplinary treatment team.

Service offers:

  • diagnosis of oral lesions
  • a specialized multidisciplinary treatment team

The role of the clinic is to:

  • diagnose and treat oral lesions
  • decrease the patients subjective pain experience
  • increase the patient's level of activity
  • decrease overall drug consumption
  • encourage the patient to return to employment or full quality of life
  • decrease further use of health care resources

The clinic may also offer the following:

  • acupuncture
  • physical therapy
  • education and lifestyle counselling
  • pharmacotherapy
  • oral appliance therapy
  • biofeedback - relaxation therapy
  • trigger point and anesthetic block injections

Eligibility
Yes, Service targeted to:
  • chronic pain sufferers
  • patients with oral lesions
Individuals 17 years and younger must be accompanied by an adult during appointment.

Service Access: Professional Referral Required, To access service:
  • referral required from dentist or medical doctor
  • visit website for referral form
After referral is recieved, a screening appointment will be scheduled to determine eligibility. If accepted as a patient, an examination appointment will be scheduled to determine treatment.Referral Process: No
