Visit website for more information. Provides intervention, education, support, and referral services to older adults who are experiencing or at risk of experiencing abuse.

The team's main priority is dealing with cases where there is a high risk of physical / sexual harm to the client or abuse of a criminal nature. This is not an emergency service.

Affiliation: Partnered with Today Family Violence Help Centre, Edmonton Police Service, City of Edmonton Community Services, Community Geriatric Psychiatry, and Covenant Health.
Eligibility
Yes, Service targeted to:
  • 65 years or older
  • who are experiencing abuse from a caregiver or loved one
  • and residing in Edmonton
Application Process
Service Access: Telephone Information Line, To access service:
  • call the Elder Abuse Intake Line to receive services and complete an intake assessment with a Senior Resource Co-ordinator
