Alberta Aids to Daily Living - Respiratory Benefits Program

Service provides:

• financial assistance for respiratory equipment and supplies for Albertans with a long-term disability, chronic illness, or terminal illness to help them stay independent at home or in a supported living facility

Respiratory benefits include:

• oxygen
• ventilators
• tracheotomy tubes
• suction equipment and supplies
• bi-level positive airway pressure (BPAP) devices

Alberta Aids to Daily Living (AADL) does not provide funding for continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP) machines or supplies.

• Alberta residents with a current Alberta Health Care card
• with a long-term disability, chronic illness, or terminal illness
• who are not eligible for these types of benefits from another source

• a healthcare provider or contract Alberta Aids to Daily Living (AADL) specialty supplier will assess what benefits clients are eligible for through the program
• visit the AADL website for more information
• respiratory providers can access resources on the Alberta Blue Cross website
