Description
Offers an emergency shelter for women, with or without children, who are experiencing family violence and domestic abuse.

Service provides:

  • a stay in a shelter for women to feel comfortable, safe, and secure in a home atmosphere

Includes:

  • basic essentials such as food and toiletries
  • education in safety planning and tech safety
  • assistance in accessing income support, housing, and court support
  • referrals to counselling / mental health services
Eligibility
Yes, Service targeted to:
  • women
  • who are escaping domestic violence
  • experiencing emotional / psychological abuse
  • or in crisis (including victims of sexual assault / rape)
Shelter is inclusive of cisgender and transgender women. Single stall washrooms are available.

Service Access: Telephone Information Line, To access service:
  • call the Crisis Line for intake
Clients accessing the shelter are requested to make the call themselves. Clients with service animals are welcome.
