- Provides individuals and families with the ability to sustain appropriate housing.
Service provides:
- rental assistance for eligible families and individuals with low to moderate income to assist with monthly rent payments up to a maximum of 1 year
Funding is limited and will be granted based on highest need.
- Eligibility
- Yes, Service targeted to individuals and families who:
- are 18 years and older
- are employed
- have a fixed St. Albert address and have been a resident for more than 6 months
- meet the household income threshold
- and pay more than 30% of gross monthly household income towards rent and heat
- currently receiving rental assistance from Capital Region Housing Corporation (CRHC) or income assistance under Alberta Supports or Assured Income for the Severely Handicapped (AISH)
- receiving Employment Insurance (EI)
- of foreign worker / non-landed immigrant status
