Provides individuals and families with the ability to sustain appropriate housing.

Service provides:

  • rental assistance for families and individuals with low to moderate income to assist with monthly rent payments up to a maximum of one year

Funding is limited and will be granted based on highest need.

Yes, Service targeted to individuals and families who:
  • are 18 years and older
  • are employed
  • have a fixed St. Albert address and have been a resident for more than 6 months
  • meet the household income threshold
  • and pay more than 30% of gross monthly household income towards rent and heat
Individuals and families are not eligible if they are:
  • currently receiving rental assistance from Capital Region Housing Corporation (CRHC) or income assistance under Alberta Supports or Assured Income for the Severely Handicapped (AISH)
  • self-employed
  • receiving Employment Insurance (EI)
  • of foreign worker / non-landed immigrant status

  • applications are available online or can be picked up in person at St. Albert Food Bank and Community Village, St. Albert Seniors Association (7 Tache Street), or Community and Social Development (Unit 10, 50 Bellerose Drive)
