Description
Offers a training program on how to help a person developing a mental health problem, experiencing the worsening of an existing mental health problem, or in a mental health crisis.

Service offers:

  • a 2-day training program that teaches members of the public how to help a person developing a mental health problem (including a substance use problem), experiencing a worsening of an existing mental health problem, or in a mental health crisis

Includes:

  • identifying when a person may be a danger to themselves or others and taking steps to preserve life
  • recognizing the early signs for mental health problems and providing help to prevent more serious problems from developing
  • providing comfort to someone with a mental health problem and supporting them in recovering their mental health
