Delivers comprehensive addictions theory and experiential learning programs in the Edmonton area, blending academic achievement with cultural values and traditions for experiential adult learning.
Programs include:
- Community Addictions Training (CAT) 6 weeks
- Advanced Counsellor Training (ACT) 5 weeks
- Training of Trainers (TOT) 4 weeks
- Indigenous Addictions Services Certificate Year 1 (IASC) 10 weeks
- Indigenous Addictions Services Diploma Year 2 (IASD) 10 weeks + Practicum
- Indigenous Wellness Certificate (IWC) 8 weeks
- Introduction to Addictions Counselling (IAC) 13 weeks
- Youth Worker Training Series (YWT) 4 weeks
- Specialty Courses which are normally 5 days in length
Eligibility
Yes, 18 years of age or older.A minimum period of one year sobriety if the student has a history of addictions.Nechi accepts all applications from all individuals.
