Service provides:

  • person-centered services and supports to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities

Includes:

  • Day Program / Centre for Learning - promotes growth and independence in the areas of vocational skills, personal development, and recreation and leisure pursuits
  • Community Access - community-based activities include recreation, leisure, educational, and employment opportunities
  • Residential Services - provides respite care, supervision, training, and support with a wide range of residential options
  • Resource Services - provides therapy, consultation, and education
  • Transportation Services - provides an accessible, cost-effective, and personalized transportation service for travel to work, volunteer and educational placements, medical appointments, recreational activities, and various churches

Affiliation: Partnered with Assured Income for the Severely Handicapped (AISH) and Persons with Developmental Disabilities Program (PDD).
Key Provider: dietitians, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, speech therapists
Eligibility
Yes, Service targeted to:
  • people 18 years and older
  • with developmental disabilities
  • who have been determined eligible and receive funding by Alberta Seniors and Community Supports and / or Persons with Developmental Disabilities Program (PDD)
  • with consent from family members or guardians
  • and have a Day Program, job, or volunteer placement
Priority placement is given to residents of Strathcona County and Fort Saskatchewan.
