Calgary Police Cadet Corps

To provide a youth program based on the Canadian Military Cadet Programs (Army, Navy, and Air).

Service offers:

  • youth an opportunity to participate in a team environment while experiencing the world of policing
  • leadership, citizenship, education, physical fitness, camaraderie and experiences that will support personal development
  • social, academic and physical skill
  • uniforms and kit provided at no cost
  • volunteer opportunities at activities representing the Corps and the Calgary Police Service
  • potential credits for school through participation

  • youth ages 12 to 18 of good moral character with no criminal record
Application Process
Service Access: See below, To access service:
  • youth must provide written parental / guardian consent
  • complete an application in ink and submit with a cover letter
  • must be available for an interview

New cadet classes start in September; applications accepted beginning in November for the following year.
