Provides support to immigrants, refugees, and their families after trauma.

Service offers:

  • culturally-appropriate trauma-focused therapy, psycho-education workshops and social support groups
  • case coordination to support holistics needs of newcomers
  • volunteer support for newcomers for integration
  • community education to support newcomers
  • first language support for interpretation and communication
  • consultation with professionals, community members and sponsors

Affiliation: Alberta Health Services, United Way of Calgary and Area, Immigration Refugees and Citizenship Canada.

  • individuals who have experienced trauma related to war in the country of origin or during the migration process to Canada
  • newcomers ages 3 years to adults and seniors
