- Ensures eye health or vision problems are not a factor in preventing kindergarten students from reaching their maximum learning potential by providing eyeglasses, if they are required, free of charge.
Service offers:
- information (English and French) for parents sent to all Alberta schools with a kindergarten class each fall
- if a kindergarten student requires them, a pair of eyeglasses (free of charge) following an eye exam with an optometrist
- classroom visits by an optometrist that can be requested through the Alberta Association of Optometrists
