Description
Provides a support group for children facing bereavement / death within the family or loss due to divorce or separation of parents.

Service offers:

  • a preventative program that ensures the mental wellness of the community by helping children and parents develop the skills needed to navigate through the emotions associated with grief, loss, traumatic relational experiences and a new family structure

Includes:

  • both physical literacy and social-emotional learning to give children healthy coping and emotional processing skills
  • working alongside parents to provide them with a toolkit of resources, skills, games, and activities to help further their child's emotional development
  • coping mechanisms to prevent serious behaviour problems and halt self-destructive and relationally-destructive emotions and actions in children, parents, family units, and / or other relationships
Affiliation: Partnered with North Pointe Community Church and Hope City Church.Key Provider: trained volunteer facilitators
