Description
Provides judicially supervised drug abuse treatment and rehabilitation program with a community restoration focus for offenders who are facing a jail sentence of 9 months to 5 years and who are committing crimes to support their drug addiction.

Service offers:

  • intensive court and community supervision through a delayed sentencing process
  • program support service delivery based on national drug court principles and provincial standards

Includes:

  • intensive judicial supervision
  • comprehensive substance abuse treatment
  • housing, education, and employment
  • physical and mental health
  • random and regular drug screens
  • lifeskills development and supports
  • probation case management
  • social services support

Eligibility
Yes, Service targeted to individuals facing 9 months to 5 years jail for criminal charges that relate to a drug addiction which may include:
  • possession, possession for the purpose or related offences
  • property related offences
  • communication for the purpose of prostitution
  • history of committing crimes to support drug habit
Does not include demonstrative gang affiliations, weapons, or violence or sexually related offences.
