Support and Outreach


Description
Offers 1-on-1 support, group support, and outreach activities, in-person and by phone, to people living with human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) or other sexually transmitted and blood-borne infections, including hepatitis c and syphilis.

Service offers:

  • drop-in 1-on-1 support services (with limited capacity)
  • outreach services
  • information and referrals
  • advocacy
  • education
  • peer activities
  • sexually transmitted and blood-borne infection (STBBI) testing and treatment
  • needle exchange services
  • services through partner agencies / organizations (doctors, sex work supports, harm reduction supplies, self-testing kits)
  • 1-on-1 appointments with an Indigenous Elder

Programs and peer activities include:

  • grocery gift cards, hygiene products
  • community garden
  • paint and create
  • collective kitchen
  • summer barbecue (BBQ)

Program currently not providing drop-in meals.

  • individuals with a confirmed human immunodeficiency virus diagnosis from a health care practitioner, and other people affected by sexually transmitted and blood-borne infections
