Description
Offers a day program that aims to improve the social and learning skills of children with serious mental health and / or addictions challenges.

Service provides:

  • group, family, and individual therapy while also providing education in a small classroom setting; children are encouraged to strengthen their existing abilities and develop new skills

Areas of focus include:

  • social skills
  • academic functioning
  • and emotional and sensory awareness

Affiliation: Partnered with Edmonton Public Schools.

Eligibility
Yes, Service targeted to:
  • children in grades 3 to 6
  • who have had a mental health assessment completed within the last 6 months
  • who have a formal mental health diagnosis
  • and are currently in therapy
Application Process
Service Access: Professional Referral Required, To access service:
  • referrals can be made by a health professional (such as a psychiatrist or therapist) or the child’s school principal through Alberta Health Services centralized intake
