Service provides:
- culturally sensitive intervention and support services to Indigenous families involved with Regional Child and Family Services Authority aimed at strengthening and preserving youth, children, and their families by providing home - based family - centred services
Aims include:
- promoting the protection and well being of children in their homes
- helping / educating parents to improve their parenting abilities
- preventing reducing, or eliminating behaviours which may place a child, family, or community at risk
- preventing unnecessary long - term, out - of - home placement of a child
- supporting and enhancing a stable and nurturing family environment in which children can grow and develop
- improving family interaction
- responding immediately to the family at the point of crisis
- enhancing family support networks
