Service offers:
- support to Indigenous youth accused of a crime within the Criminal Justice System
Includes:
- acting as a "friend of the court" to provide information to the court on community resources available
- providing explanations to the accused in plain language
- translation services where possible
- entering pleas
- speaking to sentence and adjournment
- emotional support
Out-of-court support includes:
- support for youth accused of crimes and victims of crime
- advocacy
- preparing cases
- information about legal rights and court procedures
- assistance with documentation and applications
