Description
The clinic focuses on prevention or recurrence of a stroke, and identification and management of risk factors, in clients who have had a stroke or transient ischemic attack (TIA), or those at risk for stroke or TIA.

Services include:

  • Individual and education sessions related to stroke, lifestyle, and risk factors (Grande Prairie only)
  • Stroke Navigator provides in person support for clients when attending their virtual health Edmonton Stroke Prevention Clinic appointments with the Neurologist.
  • Referral to other healthcare professionals or programs as required
  • Registration for the "Living with Stroke" virtual stroke support group for North Zone residents - please call the stroke department number for more information or to register for sessions

Key Provider: licensed practical nurses (LPNs), occupational therapists (OTs), physiotherapists (PTs), registered nurses (RNs), speech language pathologists
