Description
Offers emergency accommodation.

Service offers:

  • an emergency place to stay for homeless women, including transgender women

Includes:

  • a bed in a room with 1 to 7 other women
  • toiletries and bedding during their stay
  • 3 meals a day
  • showers and free laundry
  • safe and secure medication administration by staff (clients hand in their medications and the staff administer them)
  • access to a computer with Internet
  • outreach support and advocacy within the community for services such as Alberta Works, mental health, doctor's appointments, and more
  • support in the community with housing through the Outreach Co - ordinator
Eligibility
Yes, Service targeted to:
  • women and transgender women
  • who are 18 years and older
Women with children cannot be accommodated.

Fee: Yes,

Free for clients with no income or those not on a fixed income. 30 per cent of income is required for those on a fixed income. $626.00 per month is required for clients on Assured Income for the Severely Handicapped (AISH).
