- early childhood parent support programs for families with low income at 5 sites in Edmonton
Programs include:
- Early Education - 4 half-day per week child development program
- Head Start - 4 half-day per week school readiness program
May include:
- a parent group for parents to relax over coffee / tea and a snack, learn about child development, hear guest speakers, share information with other parents, and learn about community resources
- a play group focused on learning through play, where children play with other children their age, try new activities, participate in Circle Time for songs and rhymes, and have a healthy snack
- free transportation to program if you live within a certain distance
- regular home visits with a Family Support Worker who can help with the child's development, community resources, personal issues, and personal goals
