Description
Provides food for those in need.

Service provides:

  • hampers to individuals and families in need

Hampers are:

  • put together based on the number of adults, children, and infants in a household
  • filled with perishable and non-perishable food to last between 4 to 6 days
  • not intended as an income supplement

Distribution occurs through:

  • agencies
  • churches
  • food depots

Will also provide other food referrals to clients as appropriate. Dog and cat food available for clients receiving a food hamper.

Service Access: By Appointment, To access service:
  • call the client services line
  • clients who have used Edmonton's Food Bank services since April 2024 will have a link in a confirmation e-mail to access the online request form; new clients must call in
Phone lines may be busy. Volume of calls increases throughout the day, so it is best to call early and keep calling until you get through. If disconnected while on hold, please try calling again.  Do not leave a voice message as phone message requests are not returned. Proper identification for every member of the household is required when picking up food.
