Description
Provides programs that prepare students for entry-level employment in various sectors.

Service offers:

  • Child Care Assistant (Level 1 Early Childhood Educator) 32-week and 48-week programs
  • Accounting Assistant 32-week and 48-week programs
  • hybrid instruction
  • workplace culture and communication modules
  • occupation-specific vocabulary study and career-related modules (5-6 weeks)
  • job coaching
  • work strategies and work experience placement (5 weeks)
Eligibility
Yes, Service targeted to individuals:
  • current students
  • Alberta resident and currently residing full-time in the province (or address in city of Lloydminster)
  • meet citizenship requirements (e.g., Canadian Citizen, Permanent Resident or Convention Refugee) and be legally entitled to work and train in Canada
  • be unemployed or marginally employed
  • be committed to seeking employment
