Provides support programs for Aboriginal peoples.

Service provides:

  • facilitation of change and bringing together the partners and interests needed to implement the minister's mandate
  • support to Aboriginal people in developing healthy, sustainable communities and in achieving their economic and social aspirations
  • delivery of provincial services such as education, housing and community infrastructure to Status Indians on reserve
  • delivery of social assistance and social support services to residents on reserve
  • service delivery in partnership with First Nations
