Description
Support for pregnant and parenting women and teens (infants 0-6 months) facing a variety of health and social circumstances that affect maternal and infant health. Eligibility criteria must be met.

Healthy Moms Healthy Babies supports pregnant and parenting women and teens (infants 0-6months) who face challenges with isolation, finances, physical or emotional health, healthy nutrition, family conflict and / or addictions. Offers these services:

  • group support with nutrtition and prenatal health education
  • one to one visits with a nurse, dietitian, and / or outreach worker
  • referrals to healthcare providers or community agencies as needed
  • free child birth education classes with AHS

Eligibility
Yes, Pregnant women and teens or with infants 0 - 6 months of age. Appropriate client referrals include clients with low income, poor nutrition, teen pregnancy, social isolation, recent arrival to Canada, substance use and/ or family violence.
