Offers an education program and public awareness campaign designed to educate and empower older Albertans to stay independent and prevent falls. Provides seniors and practitioners with the latest information and resources to help seniors live an active and independent lifestyle, with real life strategies that older adults can use to lower their risk of a fall.

  • online information and resources for older adults and practitioners to help prevent falls before they happen

Includes:

  • information sheets for seniors, available in more than 13 languages, on various topics related to preventing falls such as the Falls Risk Self-Assessment Checklist and Everyday Exercises for Older Adults
  • resource toolkits and teleconferences for practitioners
  • online resources for presentations and displays
Affiliation: Funded by Alberta Health. Partnered with University of Alberta - School of Public Health and various seniors groups and health care organizations / practitioners from across Alberta.
