Provides coverage for:

  • dental care
  • emergency ambulance services
  • essential diabetes supplies
  • essential over-the-counter medications
  • eye glasses
  • prescription drugs
Eligibility
Yes, Service targeted to individuals who:
  • live in Alberta
  • are 17 years and younger (those 18 or 19 years of age also qualify if living at home and attending high school)
  • are Canadian citizens or have permanent resident status in Canada
  • are not receiving health benefits from other government programs
  • and meet the program income criteria
