- co-operation with both affiliated unions and coalition partners to further the education of all working people
- a voice for labour's social, political and economic agenda to the public
- electoral action including lobbying and publicly opposing detrimental government policies and encouraging trade unionists to seek elective office on all levels of government
- courses and tools to eliminate barriers which prevent workers from fully participating in the labour movement
