Description
Provides preventative programming centred around building healthier relationships using therapeutic groups and activity based learning for youth.

Service offers:

  • 10 week sessions from September to December and January to April
  • teen group programs out of senior and junior high schools in Calgary and Airdrie
  • information about healthy relationships to teens affected by family and community violence
  • limited individual counselling as appropriate
  • focus on topics such as family violence, boundaries, abusive behaviour and communication

Eligibility
Yes, To access service individuals must meet at least one of the following: 
  • known or suspected experience with family conflict and / or abuse
  • difficulty maintaining healthy dating relationships or exposure to abuse in dating relationships
  • conflict at school
  • age 12 to 18

Hours of Operation

School groups are held at various times during the school day at participating schools. Parent-teen groups are generally held from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm in the community, once a week for 10 weeks.
