Emergency Food Services

Service provides:

• monthly food hampers, daily food supplements, and other emergency food resources

Includes:

• one food hamper per household per calendar month with 5 to 7 days' worth of emergency food assistance
• daily food supplements such as bread, produce, and shelf items for clients to access once daily, as required
• baby bundles available once monthly until the child's first birthday; include baby cereal and food, something soft, and other infant necessities (diapers and formula are also available upon request)
• diabetic bundles that supplement a diabetic diet with low-sugar and high-fibre items
• Ready Set GO program that provides backpacks and school supplies for families with school-aged children
• Christmas hampers with additional supplies for a Christmas meal and gifts for children and youth
• community referrals linking food bank families with other local services
