Provides drop-in English as a Second Language (ESL) classes on a flexible basis.

Service offers:

  • variety of class times and options for flexibility
  • three levels of ESL classes - pre-basic, basic, and intermediate/advanced
  • qualified volunteer instructors teach the English needed to understand life in Canada

Key Provider: English as a Second Language (ESL) instructors, volunteer teachers
Eligibility
Yes, Service targeted to:
  • individuals age 18 and older
  • permanent residents and Canadian citizens
  • limited space available for refugee claimants & temporary residents with a work permit
  • recommended for Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) 1-4 and CLB 5+
