- Description
- The Motion Analysis Service helps clinicians understand how the body moves and functions mechanically. Motion analysis is used to measure, analyze and interpret body movements in clients who have problems walking because of musculoskeletal issues (problems that affect muscles, bones, joints, ligaments, and tendons) or neurological issues (problems that include the nervous system, i.e. brain, spinal cord and nerves).
The Motion Analysis Service uses technologies like motion capture, high-speed video, and foot pressure measurement to give clinicians in the team a better understanding of how clients are walking. This type of analysis is also referred to as clinical gait analysis. The motion lab is always looking for new assessment tools that can benefit patients.
