Provides licenses and regulates business owners who operate in Calgary to ensure that businesses comply with legislation and bylaws that apply to them and that they operate according to the proper regulations and standards.

Service offers:

  • enforcement of laws and regulations associated with business licenses for a wide variety of businesses in Calgary
  • investigation of complaints regarding fair and safe business practices under City bylaws and provincial legislation
  • the issuing of business licences
  • efforts to ensure that businesses operating within the city are registered or licenced municipally
  • efforts to ensure that proper regulations and safety rules are being followed, that businesses are located appropriately and that all businesses are treated fairly
