- Description
- Screen Test is a provincial screening service that works to increase the number of women, aged 45 to 74, who have regular breast cancer screening using mammograms (breast x-ray). Getting screened regularly is the best way to find breast cancer early, when treatment has the best chance of working.
Screen Test, as part of the Alberta Breast Cancer Screening Program, offers mammograms and information on breast health to women in Edmonton and over 120 communities in rural Alberta. This service uses 2 mobile mammography clinics to ensure eligible women in rural communities are able to get breast cancer screening. These trailers are clinics on wheels, complete with a reception area and an exam room.
