Funds and supports victim serving organizations that provide support, information, and referral to victims of crime.

Service provides:

  • administration of the Victims of Crime and Public Safety Act and Victims of Crime and Public Safety Fund
  • information and support to victims, dependents, and agencies that provide services to victims of crime

Includes:

  • Victim Impact Statements
  • how to make a request for restitution
  • court preparation and accompaniment
  • grants for groups and organizations that provide programs or services benefiting victims
  • Victims of Crime Assistance Program - financial assistance for victims of crime to assist with emergency safety and security expenses, court attendance expenses, and access to psychological supports for injuries suffered from the crime, as well as serious injury benefits for victims who are seriously injured as a direct result of crime, and reimbursement of funeral costs for victims who died as a result of violent crime
