Emergency Crisis Shelter


Description
Provides a crisis shelter and programs for all people and their children fleeing abuse or in crisis.

Service offers:

  • shelter,¬†safety, and support
  • advocacy, information, and referral
  • individual and group supportive counselling
  • child care
  • food and some clothing
  • referrals for assistance with household goods and furniture
Affiliation: Partnered with Alberta Council of Women's Shelters.
Eligibility
Yes, Service targeted to:
  • parents / caregivers
  • and their children
  • or individuals fleeing abuse including, but not limited to, individuals who identify as female, gender fluid, non-binary, or male
Shelter program does not have the capacity to support those in an active, emergent mental health, medical, or substance use crisis. Clients in these scenarios may not be accepted into shelter programs and will be referred appropriate emergency and medical services.
