The Pediatric Neuromuscular Disease Clinic helps kids with muscle and nerve problems, called neuromuscular diseases, and supports their families.

The clinic offers:

  • advice, emotional support, and connecting families with other resources
  • therapy to help kids strengthen muscles and may suggest braces for better movement and comfort
  • help for families to get special equipment for daily activities
  • teaching for the child, family, and school about the disease, how it affects the child, and how everyone can help the child succeed

Key Provider: neurologists, occupational therapists (OTs), physiatrists, physical therapists (PT), registered nurses (RNs), social workers, respiratory therapists, respirologists
