Description
Multidisciplinary care to lower leg wounds for Non-Diabetic patients.

Service provides:

  • treatment for debridement
  • wound measurements
  • advanced wound care products
  • prescriptions for ADL (Aids to Daily Living) footwear
  • compression therapy

Key Provider: doctors, licensed practical nurses (LPNs), physiotherapists, registered nurses (RNs)
Eligibility
Yes, People 17 years and older who are not diabetic and have an open leg wound.
Application Process
Service Access: Professional Referral Required, Healthcare providers should consult the Alberta Referral Directory for service referral information. Past medical history, medication list, wound history, past treatments for wound, must have an open lower leg wound, ABI's and basic bloodwork required for first visit.
