- Description
- Provides rehabilitation for adults with heart disease or after a heart attack or other cardiac event.
People in the program include those who:
- had a heart attack
- had CABG (coronary artery bypass surgery)
- had PTCA (percutaneous transluminal coronary angioplasty)
- had heart valve surgery
- have angina (stable)
- have heart failure
Services offered are:
- education to reduce risk factors
- supervised exercises
- home exercise programs
- nutrition
- social and psychological support (client and family)
