- Offers services to help people before and after they have an ostomy, assessment and treatment of individuals with complex wounds for inpatient units primarily.
Provides service to help clients before and after they have an ostomy (surgery to create an opening in the abdomen used to get rid of body waste such as stool or urine), including:
- providing follow-up care
- treating and preventing problems
- fitting appliances
- arranging ostomy appliances
Provides assessment and treatment options for clients with complex wounds.
Note: this is not the outpatient "wound clinic" operated out of the Melcor Building in Lethbridge.
