211 Alberta Data & Insights Exchange
Welcome to our hub for sharing knowledge, collaborating across sectors, and empowering communities through data. Explore our data dashboard and resources below.
211 Alberta helps Albertans navigate community, health, social, and government services through our 24/7 phone, text, and chat services, along with our online searchable database. The data we collect through these interactions offers vital insight into the evolving needs of Albertans—insights that can inform programs, policies, funding decisions, and community-based responses.
Why 211 Data Matters
Every contact with 211 adds to a deeper understanding of what people need, where service gaps exist, and how systems can evolve to better support communities. The dataset we steward is a valuable tool for planners, policymakers, researchers, and service providers working to build a more responsive and equitable Alberta.
To support this, the 211 Alberta community resource database is mapped to the Social Determinants of Health (SDOH), helping us understand the availability of resources in our communities that address key social and economic factors affecting well-being. Click here to learn more.

2025 Changes: We’ve Updated Our Data Dashboard
We’ve updated the 211 Alberta Data Dashboard to include contacts related to Edmonton’s 24/7 Crisis Diversion Team, a service accessed through 211. This vital service helps people in non-emergency situations—whether they’re disoriented, in an unsafe space, dressed inappropriately for the weather, or need support while intoxicated. By adding this data, we can share a clearer picture of community needs and how 211 supports crisis response in local communities.
